Ducks run their record to 4-0
Oregon was looking to extend their record of (4-0) tonight, facing off against Jacksonville who came into the game with a 5-1 record. The Ducks came away with a 67-45 win.
Oregon, from the start, did not have the same presence as they did against Vanderbilt last Friday night. Their energy level was down and intensity was lacking. But the Ducks got things done. Jacksonville was undersized in the paint, and the ducks took full advantage of it.
Waverly was out this game due to a wrist injury. Oregon had no problem with size or aggressiveness down in the paint with the absence of Waverly. Austin Kuemper, the 6'9 redshirt freshman, and Kazemi stepped in switching from center to power forward depending on whether Woods was in.
In the first half, the Ducks were playing decent defense, keeping the Gamecocks to 36% from the field. But offensively they struggled shooting only 50% from the field.
