California made its long-rumored hire of former Louisiana Tech assistant Rob Likens official Tuesday afternoon, naming him Cal's new wide receivers coach/assistant head coach.

Likens is left with a class with two committed wideouts -- 3-star Narbonne product A.J. Richardson and 2-star St. Mary's pass-catcher Caleb Coleman -- and a third who could possibly end up being part of the wide receiver core (3-star commit Torry McTyer, who was recruited as an "athlete").
