DSA Inside Edge: Passing game

Today we continue our in-depth look at the 2013 Fiesta Bowl with our DSA Inside Edge series. We have redesigned the match-ups to look at each unit against the opponent. For the match-up with Kansas State we have divided it into three parts. Today we move to the match-ups in the passing game. Neither team is particularly known as a pass-oriented offense, but both have had their moments of spectacular play.

Oregon averaged just a tad more through the air than Kansas State with the Ducks passing for just over 226 per game while Kansas State averaged about 212 per game.

In pass defense, Oregon fared better giving up a lower completion percentage and creating more turnovers. Let's take a look at how the units stack up.
