Top Duck targets: The odds

National letter-of-intent day for college football less than a month away and the Ducks are only two-thirds of the way towards filling their class. With 13 athletes currently committed and approximately 20 scholarships available, the month of January should be very interesting for Oregon recruiting.

A number of top prospect across the nation are still interested in Oregon and the Ducks are serious contenders for their services. The current top five Oregon targets as compiled by Duck Sports Authority are an impressive group.

Austin Hooper - Concord (Calif.) De La Salle. No 31 defensive end in the nation. Hooper will be visiting Eugene this month and that trip could seal the deal for the Ducks with him.

"I've been talking a lot to Coach Aliotti and Coach Osborne and they're like, 'We want players that really want to come to Oregon for the right reasons, because they love Oregon.' They've found those guys to be the best players, the ones that genuinely want to be there."
