Position recruiting: Front seven
Justin Hollins' verbal commitment was tremendous news for the outlook in Oregon defensive recruiting in the 2014 class. The Arlington Martin product is a 6-5, 207 outside rusher with speed and agility, a guy who runs a 4.61 40 and a 10.86 100.
That's a phenomenal foundation: in his highlight video he's chasing down running backs 30 and 40 yards down the field.
At Oregon, with the best nutritional and training program in college football, he can only get better, a perfect fit for the swarming, aggressive defense that just held UCLA to 14 points and 283 yards. Hollins, 68 tackles and 11 sacks as a junior, projects to be another dynamic outside linebacker/defensive end in the mold of Dion Jordan, Tony Washington and Torrodney Prevot; Don Pellum and Jim Radcliffe will help him maximize his potential, working on his lateral quickness and footwork. He already has a good swim move and speed rush.
