New Mexico WR makes quick decision
As of Monday evening, it looked like wide receiver Rishard Matthews wasn't going to be deciding anytime soon. That quickly changed over the course of the last 24 hours.
Matthews, a 6-foot, 185-pound speedster from Clovis, N.M., High School, made his decision this past evening between New Mexico, New Mexico State, and UTEP.
"I just committed to UTEP," Matthews said. "I was text messaging coach Jeff Banks and I just decided to do it. Also, they have a quarterback from California, Chasen Stangel, and he called me to tell me he was committed.
"I really liked him, so I talked it over with my family and decided to do it."
