Pre-spring unit analysis: Defensive line

Going into the 2011 season Oregon defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro had his hands full. Graduated off his prior season's unit were both his starting tackles, Brandon Bair and Zac Clark, as well as starting defensive end Kenny Rowe.

2011 unit grade: 2.86 (0 to 4) The unit grade for the season is surprisingly high for a group that lost three quarters of its starters from the prior year. The game that hurt their grade the most? Against Missouri State in the third game of the season they received a 1.0 rating for only accounting for 11 of the team's 83 tackles.
