Q&A: Isaac Remington

Senior defensive tackle Isaac Remington is ready to make big contributions to the 2012 Oregon defense. After transferring from Phoenix College in Arizona before the 2010 season, Remington played in all 14 of the Duck's games last year, amassing 31 tackles including four tackles for loss.

Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 6-foot-6, 286-pound athlete to get his update on spring practices.

Duck Sports Authority: So Isaac how is spring going overall for you?

Isaac Remington:Spring is going good. I'm just trying to work on the little things, get all the basics down. I'm just trying to go hard and compete every day and try to get better at what I can do.

DSA: What are you hoping to accomplish this spring?

IR: I want to be a starter. I'm competing for that spot like everyone else. We have a lot of competition. We have a deep defensive line this year and I think it will really be a strength. So I just come out every day, work my hardest and try to compete.
