Sooner Commitments Take Over Camp
NORMAN, Okla. - On the final session of Oklahoma's two one-day camps some of the biggest news surrounding the Sooners had little to do with what was taking place on Oklahoma's intramural fields but that didn't mean there wasn't plenty to watch, including two new Sooner commitments.
On Tuesday morning prior to his full-day of camp sessions Euless (Texas) Trinity athlete Brandon Carter pledged his lot to become a Sooner and it seems clear that the star Trojan has been identified as a cornerback after spending the entire day working out under the watchful eye of defensive backs coach Willie Martinez.
The most notable thing about Carter was his ability to take to coaching and a competitive streak that he showed midway through the afternoon session when Carter was beaten by a receiver due to an error on his part. Carter eschewed the next corner 'in line' and jumped back up to promptly shut down the next receiver with a solid jam at the line of scrimmage.
He was joined on the commitment list later in the day when Duncan, Okla. offensive tackle Dylan Dismuke decided to follow suit and pledge his future with the Sooners.
