Defensive tackles are the name of the game for Tech early
Jon'al White played high school football at nearby Ruston High School. In high school, White exhibited the ability to get off the line quickly. One memory I have of White is him getting a sack by pushing the center back on to the quarterback and making the quarterback fall. White has a 40 yard dash time of 4.93 and a maximum bench of 440 pounds. Those are very impressive stats for a man 6'1" 300 pounds.
White, currently playing at Jones County Community College in Ellisville, Ms. is holding several FBS offers, Southern Miss, Northern Illinois, University of Ohio, UAB, Louisiana Tech, and Troy. He also says Iowa State is very interested and he expects them to offer soon. White is on pace to graduate in December.
Recently on Facebook, White posted this:
"I haven't made it official, but I think it's really in my heart to play at LA Tech!!!"
I asked him about that. He said, "to be honest, they are number one in the running as far as where I might end up in December."
Louisiana Tech is hitting the recruiting trail hard for defensive tackles. They are on the board with some really talented players. Only time will tell how many of them they land.
