Stegall talks recruiting

SEARCY, ARK.- Louisiana Tech has one quarterback commitment right now but is looking to add another. They are looking to the Natural State for the next one as they have offered two quarterbacks there.

Dezmond Stegall is one of those players.

Stegall currently claims offers from Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, and Ouachita Baptist.

Arkansas State is recruiting the Arkansas gunslinger the hardest he said they have him on campus often.

"I really like that they try and get me down on campus as much as possible and I really like their coaching staff," Stegall said of Arkansas State.

Stegall said he does not hear from Tech often but tries to touch base with offensive coordinator Tony Franklin regularly. Stegall camped at Tech and enjoyed his time there.

"I loved the campus and the small city since I'm from a small city," said Stegall.

He's unsure when he wants to make a decision.

"I'm not sure. I'm just going to let it play itself out," Stegall told BleedTechBlue.com.

His favorite thing about Louisiana Tech he said is the staff.

"I really like the coaching staff. I really think I could learn a lot from Coach Franklin. I really liked the workout I got at the camp [at Tech]; Franklin really knows what he's talking about," added Stegall.

Stegall likes Memphis' offense and their quarterback coach Kevin McGiven.

During the season, Stegall says he will visit every school that has offered him.
