Recruiting notebook: Big official visitor weekend

Four-star Florida State commit Ukeme Eligwe felt like he was already part of the student population this weekend during his final visit to Tallahassee before national signing day.

"It was great," the top-rated outside linebacker in the country said. "I felt like I was already enrolled here."

Eligwe said he had been on campus numerous times before but still got the chance to meet with the coaching staff as well as the academic support staff.

"It was just meetings, and academic meeting and tours," he said. "I talked to all the coaches. Every single last one."

Eligwe said his father enjoyed the chance to speak with head coach Jimbo Fisher on Sunday before he returned home to Stone Mountain, Ga.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker committed to FSU back in April but said he didn't really try to get that much into the recruitment of uncommitted visitors liked five-start wide receiver Nelson Agholor.

"The only guy I really talked to was Nelson Agholor but I wasn't' really talking to him like that," Eligwe sadi. "I wasn't getting into the depth of his recruitment process."

Eligwe was hosted by sophomore outside linebacker Christian Jones.

He does still intend to visit California-Berkley next weekend, and may also try to visit Oregon before signing day. He said both schools appeal to him because of their stature in the Pac-1

"Cal has one of the best defenses in the Pac-12 and so does Oregon," he said.

Despite the planned visits out west, Eligwe said "Yes most definitely," when asked if he was still solid to the Seminoles.
