CANTON, Ohio - The Canton McKinley football program is one of the most tradition rich high school programs in the nation. Over the years the Bulldogs have sent several players to Ohio State as well as other schools around the nation and the pipeline doesn't appear to be drying up anytime soon. Several McKinley underclassmen currently find themselves on the radar of Division I programs including junior linebacker Jamal Davis. In this piece, we have some video footage of Davis in action from last Thursday against rival GlenOak and we take a look at his strengths and weaknesses.

Givler's Breakdown:

Davis is a long-armed and rangy athlete that can over a lot of ground from his outside linebacker position. Davis' athleticism allows him to be effective in multiple areas, from pass coverage, to rushing the passer, to using his speed to string out plays in the running game.

Another thing to like about Davis was that he played hard every snap. He made some mental mistakes and a few plays weren't made because he needs to get stronger, but the effort was there and the strength and experience will come. Davis will need to add bulk and strength in his lower body and continue to improve his leg drive but a lot of the tools that college coaches are looking for are already present.

Overall, Davis looks the part of a future Big Ten prospect, most likely as a weakside linebacker.
