UA commits play well at Reebok

Sunday's action in the Reebok Big Time Tournament saw two Arizona commitments play as well as we have seen them perform in a while.

  • The story of the day was the play of Alex Jacobson. In the game that we watched, Jacobson controlled the paint against a legit team in Texas Bluechips Navy. Jacobson finished with 21 points and six rebounds as the opposing team simply had no answer for him.

He was very aggressive throughout and impressed those in attendance with the way that he ran the court. This may have been the best game that we have seen Jacobson play and it is nice to see considering that the style his team is playing resembles the style of play he will see at Arizona.

  • In addition to Jacobson, the South Coast team, consisting of Mater Dei players, had some familiar names that had good games. Kamyron Brown finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Brown will be asked to handle the point at Mater Dei and Sunday showed why his team should be in good shape.
