Wayns and Morris Twins in EGC

New Jersey won the 5th Annual Eddie Griffin Challenge over Philadelphia on Saturday at Episcopal Academy in Merion PA two games to one by winning both the Sophomore and Junior games prior to Philadelphia avoiding the sweep by winning the Senior game finale.

Seniors game standouts included:

Marcus Morris, 6'8", Forward, Apex Academy (NJ)

Has a well developed outside game for a player of his age and size.  He showed the ability to put it on the deck and create scoring opportunities onside.  Marcus made several gorgeous alley-oop passes to his brother.   Stroked the ball effectively out to 3-point range - including draining a three-ball off the dribble.

Markieff Morris, 6'9", Forward, Apex Academy (NJ)

Played good positional defense and was strong in the glass while minimizing the effectiveness of Quintrell Thomas (6'8", Forward, St. Patrick's (NJ)).  Markieff finishes strong around the cup, has a high major-ready physique and really know how to make himself available for entry passes - especially from his brother, Marcus.  Markieff has the ability and court awareness to throw accurate, timely outlet passes after pulling down defensive rebounds.
