Ducks land Las Vegas PF

Oregon lost some players in the last week to off-season attrition but on Monday they began to make up for it. Following a visit to Oregon last week, Las Vegas (Nev.) Trinity Christian power forward Kenny Wooten has committed to Dana Altman and the Ducks.

His message was simple and was delivered on the medium most common in today's recruiting; social media.

Wooten originally signed with Nevada in 2016 but ended up attending prep school at Trinity International. He then committed to Arizona State before deciding to continue his recruitment.

Rivals national basketball analyst Eric Bossi said of the latest Duck commit: "Wooten is a high flyer who crashes the glass and plays the game with a high level of energy. He should be the type to excite fans and he says to expect a more well rounded game than advertised."

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound athlete will join guard V.J. Bailey, wing Troy Brown and wing Abu Kigab in Oregon's class of 2017.

With forward Jordan Bell declaring for the NBA draft, Chris Boucher graduating and Kavell Bigby-Williams intending to transfer, the Ducks sorely needed some more team length for next season and Wooten certainly provides that. Whether he arrives in Eugene ready to contribute immediately remains to be seen.
