Five-star Louis King headed to the Pac-12
Things are shaping up for Oregon to land a monster class in 2018. On Thursday, the second domino fell into place as five-star swingman Louis King committed to play for Dana Altman and the Ducks.
The product of New Jersey used his Twitter account to release a video announcing his commitment.
During the summer, King was complimentary of the Oregon system.
"They get up and down and are coming off a big year," King told Rivals.com during July. "I feel like I would have a chance to have the ball in my hands there and versatile players like me are a good fit."
King certainly fits the profile of players who have made the Ducks so successful of late. He's a long and athletic wing who delivers in transition, handles the ball well, shoots it well enough to keep defenders honest and in Oregon's system that features interchangeable athletes, he can play multiple positions.
King is the second player to commit to Oregon in the 2018 class and joins four-star power forward Miles Norris. That's a great start, but much more could be in store.
Visiting this weekend is the nation's top-ranked player, R.J. Barrett. Next weekend, five-star power forward Emmitt Williams hits campus and the Ducks could lead for the Floridian. Also expected to make visits this fall are five-star big man Bol Bol, five-star Jordan Brown, four-star combo guard Will Richardson, four-star wing Jules Bernard and four-star combo guard Eric Ayala, among others. The Ducks have already hosted high-scoring four-star Canadian shooting guard Luguentz Dort.
If Altman and his staff can land any two of their remaining targets it will be a massive class.
