Lyerla makes tweet return

Chip Kelly and the rest of the Duck staff and team can stop sidestepping requests for updates on the status of Colt Lyerla.
Assuming he makes good on his tweet asking 'Guess who's back,' and reports to practice today, Lyerla will rejoin the team after having missed nine of 22 fall practices completing personal business.

As a true freshman in 2011, the Hillsboro high school product caught seven passes for the Ducks, five of them touchdowns. The Oregon offense was counting on him in 2012 with the graduation of All Pac-12 performer David Paulson.
The presumptive starter entering fall camp, the Oregon roster is devoid of college game experience at tight end outside of Lyerla.
As with all players beginning any camp, Lyerla will begin his session with helmets only then progress to full pads over the next week as per NCAA rule.
Oregon continues its fall camp today with a single afternoon session in full pads. Coach Chip Kelly indicated Monday that the Ducks would conduct a scaled-down scrimmage type situation with referees today.
After today's practice will likely be Kelly's first opportunity to confirm Lyerla's return.
