George Holani has emerged as a top 2019 running back in Southern California and now more programs are taking notice.

One of the teams that has already offered is Oregon and the Bellflower (Calif.) St. Jon Bosco standout visited with teammates DE Sua’ava Poti and QB D.J. Uiagalelei this past weekend.

He was definitely more than impressed.

“I liked Oregon a lot,” Holani said.

“I had a lot of fun and loved the weather. Had a chance to meet some of the coaches and build a relationship with them.”

Recruiting is clearly in the early stages for Holani, who has offers from Oregon, Arizona State, Boston College and Utah so far. The 2019 three-star running back said only Cal has been showing interest.

As for how the Bosco standout has viewed the Ducks’ offense so far, it sounds like Holani could see himself being successful in Oregon’s attack.

It’s still early but Holani seemed to like what he saw during Oregon’s victory over Arizona this past weekend.

“I would fit quite well in this offense because they run the same spread shotgun offense as Bosco,” Holani said. “Love how they take pride in their run game.”

So far this season, Holani has rushed 136 times for 981 yards and 10 touchdowns as Bosco continues its playoff run.
