More coaching moves are afoot at the University of Oregon. One of the big questions Duck fans were asking in the wake of Kelly's sudden change of heart was: Who will Chip take with him to Philadelphia?

The two names circulated as prime candidates were assistant coaches Jerry Azzinaro and Scott Frost, and it looks like at least one of those is happening.

Azz to join Chip in Philly

Last night another piece of the Oregon coaching puzzle was put in place, or rather taken out. As anticipated, Oregon defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro is reported to be joining Chip Kelly on the Philadelphia Eagles staff.
The report comes from Jen Beyrle via Twitter.
"Source close to UO FB program tells me that Jerry Azzinaro, Greg Austin, Matthew Harper and Todd Lyght are going to Philly with Chip Kelly."
Greg Austin, Matthew Harper and Todd Lyght were all graduate assistants with the Ducks last season.
Replacing Azzinaro will be the first priority after Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens picks a new head coach. Although the team is in winter conditioning now it is crunch time for recruiting. The two Duck targets most affected will be defensive ends Kylie Fitts and Alec James because Azzinaro was their primary recruiter for Oregon.
The loss of the latter three coaches on the list will have minimal impact on the Oregon staff as they were Graduate Assistants and had just completed one-year appointments to those positions.

Rumor Central

Sources are telling Duck Sports Authority that Rob Mullens and the Ducks are moving very quickly with the head coaching hire. Mullens said on Wednesday they were conducting a full search but were aware of the recruiting calendar.
How quickly will they move?
Sources tell us the Ducks would like to wrap up the search and make their announcement with time to spare before national letter of intent day, which is less than three weeks away.
