Saturday Night Live: Elite eleven future Ducks

Oregon will host its first-ever Saturday Night Live football camp this weekend at starting at 4:00 pm in Autzen Stadium. While this type of camp featuring elite recruiting targets has become commonplace across the nation, it took the arrival of head coach Willie Taggart and staff to bring it to Eugene.

To get a glimpse of the future of Oregon football, fans are invited to park in the stadium’s east lot starting at 3:00 pm, with the camp itself running until approximately 6:00 pm.

While numerous high school athletes will be in attendance, a large group of them will become household names to Duck fans in the next several years. Out of the fifteen class of 2018 prospects currently committed to Taggart and his staff, eleven of them will be on hand this weekend for this inaugural SNL.

Offense

Based on this camp alone, if the Duck commit group could find somebody to throw them the football, they could field an all-star team. Two receivers, two running backs and two offensive linemen, all highly-recruited D-1 prospects, will showcase their talents this Saturday night.

Defense

Talk about all-stars, the five Oregon defensive commitments expected at SNL could field an elite 7-on-7 coverage team. With three rangy and athletic linebackers coupled with two shut down defensive backs on hand, together for the first time in Autzen, should be of big interest to the Duck faithful.
