5-star LB sets announcement date

Three teams have been hotly pursuing Caleb Kelly lately. Ever since he divulged his final group during Army All-American week Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Oregon have made sure the Rivals100 prospect knows they want him bad.

On Tuesday he set the date for his college announcement.

The Kelly household has seen plenty of Irish, Sooners and Ducks lately.

This week it was Oregon on Sunday, Notre Dame Tuesday then Oklahoma Thursday. Next week the trend continues: Oregon Monday, Notre Dame Tuesday, Oklahoma Thursday.

For the Ducks adding Kelly to the class would be considered the crown jewel for 2016. With the defensive side of the ball being the primary remaining need, landing the nation's No. 14-ranked overall prospect would be an enormous accomplishment for Don Pellum and the Oregon staff.

With two weeks left until National Signing Day and a 5:30 pm PT announcement time, Caleb Kelly has ensured that the 2016 recruiting intrigue, at least for three schools, will last right up until the final moment.
