Buckner picks Ducks

The Ducks continue their roll on and off the field, as one of the nation's top defensive ends has chosen to attend college in Eugene.
Jerry Azzinaro and the Ducks have reloaded on the defensive line this year. Before Tuesday's Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Phoenix, five student-athletes had committed to Oregon's class of 2012. 6-foot-7, 230 pound DeForest Buckner became the sixth following his announcement at the game.

The Honolulu (Punahou) Hawaii star told the assembled crowd along with a national television audience that he was to become Oregon's 19th commitment. Buckner is a four-star rated recruit and is ranked as the No. 18 defensive end.
"I have decided this fall 2012 to take my talents to the University of Oregon," said Buckner. "I got to see the beginning of the (Rose Bowl) game and I was just excited watching so it really helped me close my decision."
Stay tuned to Duck Sports Authority as recruiting hits its final month and we follow up with Buckner following the Semper Fidelis Bowl as well as all of Oregon's other 2012 targets.
