Ducks miss Artis in another loss

Oregon is still struggling with the absence of Dominic Artis. On Thursday night they fell short to Colorado at Matt Arena 48-47.
Dominic Artis walked on the court with a walking boot, and since he has been out with a foot injury the Ducks struggled to facilitate their offense. Artis is still not cleared to play with no set date in the near future.

The Buffs and Ducks both struggled to run their offence in the first half. The Buffs shot only 33.3% from the field while the Ducks shot 41.9%. As frustration grew so did the physicality, while the referees failed to call some hefty contact in the paint, the players continued to bring the physical play. Not to mention a few bad calls against both sides.
The Ducks let their 7 point lead slip through their hands with 5 minutes left to play. Giving the Buffs 17 second chance points.
'This is a tough loss especially coming off the heels of the Cal game," said head coach Dana Altman. "This is the second game in a row that we haven't finished."
Artis not being out there to spread the floor and run the offense is taking a toll on the defense.
"Obviously Dominic Artis is a big part of our team but we can't use that as an excuse," said senior E.J. Singler. "We just need to keep pushing forward."
Kazemi was all over the boards racking in a total of 11, 5 offensive and 6 defensive boards. He also came in with a huge block midway through the first half.
E.J. Singler had another solid night with 14 points and 6 boards. But that still wasn't enough to come out on top.
The Ducks face off against Utah Saturday in Matt Knight Arena at 5:00 pm.
