When Michael Ezeike visited Oregon this past summer, the four-star wide receiver was pretty certain he had found his future home.

But the Ontario (Calif.) Colony standout had not taken any other major offseason visits and so Ezeike wanted to go through his official trips to make sure Oregon was the best fit.

It was. And now Ezeike has committed to the Ducks.

“Since the summer I knew Oregon was the place for me,” Ezeike said.“I didn’t commit because I wanted to make sure it really was the place. Oregon was the only place I went to in the summer so I wanted to take all my official visits so I would really know. Once I took the Oregon official I knew it was the place for me.”

The massive 6-foot-5, 210-pound prospect, who could play outside receiver or be a flex tight end, visited Eugene this past weekend for Oregon’s win over Arizona.

Ezeike loved his summer visit when Oregon immediately jumped to the top of his list. After experiencing the game-day environment and spending more time around the players in the last few days, the four-star was convinced he was selecting the right place.

“What really stood out with Oregon was the bond and the relationship the team has together,” Ezeike said.“I really like that. That was one of the biggest things when I committed to a school was being able to have a relationship with the players and going somewhere I would be comfortable for the next three or four years.”

The four-star finished this season with 50 receptions for 960 yards and 15 touchdowns.
