Ducks offer two wide receivers on Sunday

Two new scholarship offers were tendered on Sunday by the Oregon football program as new head coach Willie Taggart looks to make up for lost time during the NCAA ‘dead period’. In two days the new Duck coaching staff will be permitted to meet with players face-to-face again with nearly half their class of 2017 yet to fill and only three weeks to do it.

On Sunday it was not about the Class of 2017 as the Ducks are starting to build their underclass offer base from the ground up. Two top wide receiver candidates, one from each coast, were the Taggart targets heading into the work week.

Oregon represents the second offer for Solomon-Wilson, the other being…wait for it…South Florida. Clearly Taggart’s ties to the area and knowledge of this rising sophomore were keys to this one.

Hall is seeing his recruitment heating up. Last month he received the offer ‘hat trick’, three in one day from UCLA, USC and Nebraska. Yesterday it was Oregon throwing their hat in the ring for one of the West Coast’s top WR prospects in 2018.

The Taggart offer log has been updated to reflect these players.
