Max Williams has seen lots of places. He’s been all over the country looking at schools and seeing what he likes most.

This past weekend the four-star cornerback from Gardena (Calif.) Serra took a visit to Oregon and absolutely loved what the Ducks have to offer.

“Oregon was a great visit,” Williams said.

“It was really in-depth and I built a strong relationship with all of the coaches there. The facilities were real nice and I really liked what coach (Mario) Cristobal was saying.”

One bonus that Oregon has in the recruitment of Williams is the four-star’s ongoing relationship with new assistant coach Donte Williams, who has tremendous recruiting connections in California.

That could be a big part for the Serra standout as he works through his recruitment.

“The relationship I have with Donte is already strong,” Williams said. “The coaches were just telling me how they really like me, like my style of my play and are going to recruit me hard.”

Getting a chance to meet and spend some time with Cristobal was also important to Williams during the trip this past weekend.

“(He said) that they’re just going to recruit hard and that I’m one of there top guys and can make an impact.”

In January, Williams listed a top 11 of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Utah.
