Tempe High School made the trip down to Tucson for Friday night's game against Catalina Foothills. The Buffaloes didn't get the win, but it was clear who the team's top prospect was on the field that night. Three-star defensive end My-King Johnson finished the loss with three sacks and shined throughout the game with his ability to chase down plays and get in the backfield.

At 6-foot-4 the 2017 prospect has the size of a high-level defensive end and he backed that up with his play. It has been a good start to the season for Johnson who has racked up the sacks and tackles in his first two games.

"I worked on building more muscle," Johnson said of where his focus was over the offseason. "That's all it pretty much was so that I can be a little more forceful. And that is definitely helping out."

On the recruiting side there are still five schools in focus for Johnson as Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Texas A&M and USC made the cut when he trimmed it down earlier this month.
