Mission Hills CB commits to Ducks

When Duck Sports Authority spoke with San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills CB Troy Warner last week, Oregon had recently vaulted up his list. Following an early March offer from the Ducks, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete scheduled a visit for April 1st to Eugene.
"I am actually planning on visiting April 1st, so that is coming right up," Warner told DSA. "I am coming up with my mom because she wanted to see the area and campus too. So it will be just me and her.

"I was really excited (about the March Duck offer) because Oregon is a great school and I actually grew up really liking them. So finally getting that offer was great."
"I want to see the overall environment, the type of energy that goes on in practice and how the players are. If I get that overall home feel that would be great."
Apparently he did feel at home, because on Friday morning he pulled the trigger for Mark Helfrich and the Ducks.
thanks to all college involved in my recruiting process. I am excited to say that I HAVE COMMITTED TO OREGON #WTD🐣 pic.twitter.com/z6aeZi3NrQ- Troy Warner (@TroWarner) April 3, 2015
The commitment of Warner is the seventh for Oregon's Class of 2016, and comes on the heels of Thursday's pledge by Auburn (Calif.) Placer offensive guard Jacob Capra. Warner is the second defender in the class so far, joining fellow defensive back Brady Breeze.
Oregon's 2016 recruiting class is now ranked No. 10 in the nationally although that board is certain to shuffle often between now and letter of intent day next February. Regardless, the addition of the No. 25-ranked cornerback in the country is another important piece in the current Duck recruiting puzzle.
