Oregon lands two 2018 commitments

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Wait, it’s too late. Two weeks ago Oregon had but two commitments to their class of 2017. Now they have five. Then yesterday they landed two more commitments. To the Class of 2018. Duck recruiting in June has been hot for both now and the future.

First came Spokane (Wash.) Gonzaga Prep wide receiver Devin Culp whose 6-foot-5, 205-pound frame was evident as he towered above 6-foot Mark Helfrich in his tweet.

Coeur D'Alene (Ida.) quarterback Colson Yankoff, who received an offer from the Ducks last week during their camp in Eugene, came next.

For the Ducks, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Yankoff was easy to scout. New quarterbacks coach David Yost was very familiar having recruited him at Washington State, and has stayed in contact ever since arriving in Eugene in January.

Duck Sports Authority will bring you interviews and analysis of both players as Oregon recruiting heats up just in time for summer.
