Outside linebacker
Dante Rosario, who is from Dayton, Oregon, did not take long to make up his mind.

The Oregon coaches liked what they saw of the 6-foot-4, 225 pound Rosario and made him a full-ride scholarship offer soon after the camp.
"Yes, he did commit to Oregon," assistant football coach Rob Umbenhower said. "He is a pretty impressive athlete overall. For us he is a running back and in-between linebacker and strong safety."
"He is very quick and strong. He is agile on the basketball court. He does track. He does the long-jump and triple-jump. He might have been on the relay team too."
Dante Rosario has had his hand on a baseball bat in the past too. He is just a true athlete.
Coach Umbenhower was not sure of his statistics last season, but "some games he had over 200 yards rushing." Dayton ended their season last year by losing to the ultimate state champions, Amity High School. They had a very respectable 10-2 record during Rosario's junior year.
The coach was not sure of his maximum bench, but "I know he is a strong kid and is working out and lifting."
Dante Rosario has progressed a lot in the past year or so.
"He has put on a lot of weight in the past year or so. He is just bigger and stronger than the first couple of years. He has room to get bigger. This is the kid we had to go talk into playing football. His dad was a pro baseball player. He has developed his speed. He is athletic. He is not the fastest kid that we have, but he is fast. He will dominate the league this year."
Oregon is looking for him to play outside linebacker. He had no other offers yet.
Rosario will have no problem qualifying academically and he should be a fine addition to the Oregon squad.
"He is a good student and a good kid. He is well-liked."
Rosario made first-team all-league for both as a running back and as a linebacker and first-team all-state for 2-A Oregon high school football.
Stay tuned for more on Dante Rosario.
