DSA Dozen: Oregon 10-12

Duck Sports Authority continues its DSA Dozen series with a look at the top football prospects in the State of Oregon for the Class of 2018.

The rankings were generated by a vote of our regional experts Scott Reed, Dale Newton and A.J. Jacobson, with another vote going to the Rivals.com national teams’ Oregon Top 10 list.

No. 12 Myles Green-Richards - Churchill HS

Jacobson: Green-Richards played for South Eugene as a junior then transferred to Churchill this spring. Very athletic with speed, has a chance to be a solid Pac-12 level cornerback some day. For now he needs to focus on gaining some muscle mass in order to deal with big college receivers.

Newton: 3-star defensive back/wide receiver from Churchill who's run a 4.52 40, WSU commit.

Reed: He is undersize at 5-10 and 173 pounds and plays against less than stiff competition which has kept his stock down some. He showed very well at some regional camps and is a good pickup for Washington State.

Biggest fans: Newton, Reed (11)

Offers: Washington State commit

No. 11 Travis Spreen - Jesuit HS

Newton: Jesuit lineman who will play somewhere in the Pac-12, a good solid prospect with a superb work ethic. Ducks recruited some bigger and more athletic linemen and may not have room for him.

Reed: Spreen is one of the best centers in the nation. He has a good frame and is a very hard worker. He is also a very talented student with offers from elite academic institutions.

Jacobson: Spreen is a guy you want on your team. Leads by example and will do a good job of doing that with his college OL. Great motor and feet, very strong.

Biggest fan: Jacobson (9)

Offers: Air Force, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Michigan State, Navy, Princeton, Yale, Army

No. 10 Marco Brewer - Corvallis HS

Reed: He has a great frame at 6-4 and 295 pounds. He has a solid offer list, but needs some work before becoming a player at the next level

Jacobson: Not quite as tall but Brewer kind of reminds me of DeForest Buckner back when he was a high school junior for Punahou. Rough around the football edges but raw talent. As Brewer gets more coaching, refines his body and plays more football, he has a chance to be a Pac-12 starter in a few years.

Biggest fan: Reed (9)

Offers: UCLA commit

Others receiving votes

Jacobson: Jackson is a very good football player with length and speed. He plays for Marist in Eugene which is a small-sized school for their division. For the Spartans Jackson has to do it all, quarterback, safety, a couple special teams. If he were to focus in college on say WR or S/OLB, he definitely has the tools to be a Pac-12 player.

Newton: Pro-style quarterback from Lake Oswego, committed to Oregon State. Football/baseball player who only recently decided to focus on football first. Rivals 3-star with 2 career varsity touchdowns in 32 attempts. Pac-12 offer gives him the nod over Andrew Peaseley of LaGrande, a Saturday Night Live attendee.
