On August 13th Oregon basketball offered Virginia power forward Armondo Bacot. Of course. lots of schools have offered him because he is a five-star rated prospect, the No. 14 overall player in the class of 2019.
And who doesn't covet a power forward?
So far Bacot has over two dozen scholarship offers from across the nation. With a couple years until he needs to make a decision.
Still, throwing their hat in the ring cannot hurt for Altman and Company.
A second offer went out yesterday to New Jersey small forward Kahlil Whitney, another member of the Class of 2019. Ranked as the No. 84 overall prospect nationally, Whitney also holds offers from the likes of Kansas, UNC, Georgia Tech and more.
Oregon currently does not have any prospects committed to their Class of 2019, but it is obviously very early in their process. They do have offers out to three other forwards in the 2019 class; Onyeka Okongwu, Malik Hall and Matthew Hurt.
